Our Lake Erie/Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross has been serving residents for over 100 years in Wayne/Holmes Counties! With your help and support, the Red Cross mission of alleviating human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors works!
We are inviting you to be part of our Festival of Trees event. The purpose of this event is to raise dollars for our local Disaster Relief. Last year alone, our local office helped close to 300 families and provided over $180,000 in direct cash assistance to families who experienced their own “Hurricane Harvey” moment when they had a home fire or flood and their homes were in non-livable situations. Our local Disaster Action Team volunteers provide 24/7 response to these families by helping with food, shelter and comfort and help families develop recovery plans in the weeks following the disaster.
We are inviting you to support your local Red Cross by attending Festival of Trees on Friday, November 17th from 7-9 p.m. during Wooster Window Wonderland. This event is FREE and open to the public.
A VIP “Reveal” party will be held from 5-7 p.m. that evening where you can view all auction items prior to public viewing. Online bidding starts that evening and will end on Giving Tuesday Day on November 28th. The VIP from 5-7 p.m. is a ticketed event and individual tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at the Red Cross Office or through the link above. Complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
If you cannot attend the event, you can register through this website to have access to view and bid on the items this year. You can view/bid early and watch your item in the weeks leading up to the close of the auction on November 28th. In addition, you can visit the Red Cross office November 20-22 between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to see the beautiful items in person.
Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting your local Red Cross and local disaster services. By helping your local Red Cross, you will be part of a strong network of volunteers, donors and partners like our Presenting Festival Sponsor Schaeffler. Other sponsors include Certified Angus Beef, Blue Barn Winery, Wooster Glass, Farmer’s Bank, Orrville Dairy Queen, Nagy’s Collision, Robert's Funeral Home, WQKT, Consumers Bank, All Creatures Veterinary, D&S Distribution and Wooster Country Club. We hope you consider helping us to continue to provide comfort and care when your neighbors experience a crisis.
